Two pieces and a strip of tape turn any door or window into something your phone can watch. It senses the magnet rather than pressing a switch, so there is no contact inside to wear out. Be clear on one thing before you buy: this is a Zigbee device and it needs a Zigbee hub. It will not pair with your phone on its own. If you already run Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, or a speaker with a Zigbee radio inside, it will join in a minute. If you don't have a hub yet, start there instead.
