Responsible party and Information Officer

Syzero (Pty) Ltd, trading as Zeralin, is the responsible party under POPIA. Our Information Officer, registered with the Information Regulator, can be reached at support@syzero.ai. Registered office address available on written request.

What we collect and where from

Your name, delivery address, email address and phone number — collected from you when you order. Card details go directly to our payment provider; we never receive them (POPIA section 18).

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We use your information only to process and deliver your order, keep you updated on it, operate your account and meet our legal duties. We rely on the performance of your contract and our legal obligations as the lawful basis for this processing (POPIA section 11).

Voluntary or mandatory

The information we ask for at checkout is needed to conclude and fulfil your order; if you do not provide it we cannot process or deliver the order.

Who we share it with, and cross-border transfers

Only the operators needed to fulfil your order: our payment provider (to process your payment) and our logistics partners (to deliver your parcel — your name, address and phone number travel with the parcel). We do not sell or rent personal information. Where an operator processes your information outside South Africa, we do so only under POPIA section 72, requiring a comparable level of protection.

Direct marketing

We send marketing by email or SMS only where you have opted in, or where you are an existing customer, we obtained your details when you bought from us, we are marketing our own similar products, and you were given a chance to opt out (POPIA section 69; ECTA section 45). Every marketing message identifies us and carries a working, free unsubscribe. On request we will tell you where we obtained your details.

Security and breaches

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information (POPIA section 19). If a breach affects your personal information, we notify the Information Regulator and you as the law requires (POPIA section 22).

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and consumer law require, then deleted (POPIA section 14).

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for corrections or deletion of anything we are not legally required to keep, and object to processing: support@syzero.ai (POPIA sections 23 to 25).

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand how it is used; this is personal-information processing under POPIA, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

We do not knowingly collect the personal information of a child (under 18) except as the law allows.
